We have been so so so so busy! The Etsy shop totally was out of control with holiday orders (which I am excited and completely in awe of that so many people come by to support my little shop) plus we've been traveling all over PA and NJ. I wanted to check-in with a photo update of all of our November adventures before the hectic month of December really gets away from me.
Steve dazzled us all when he defended his thesis! (Actually this was on Halloween, I'm a little delayed on this adventure.) He's on schedule to graduate in a few short weeks.
We started off November with Darwin's first trip to the polls when we showed him how to vote.
Lots more adventures after the jump.
We also took a little family outing and went bowling in our town. We've done this before with Darwin and he loves it! They have these great toddler sized ramps that we can put the ball on for him and then let him push with all he's got.
Our local PBS station hosted a birthday party for Clifford the Big Red Dog. We took some cans of dog food to donate. Here's D modeling his painted dog nose and tasting his birthday cupcake.
We started off our Thanksgiving traveling with a trip to my mom's house where we are a much closer drive to Leah and Charlie. We made a special trip to their house for a great afternoon of fun!
Another day while we were visiting at my mom's house, we took Darwin to the local community center where they set up tons of activities and equipment. For a few dollars we can play for a few hours and he has pretty much free range of the gym to climb, jump, slide, push, kick, you name it!
We attended a family Bat Mitzvah and Darwin danced like he was born to do it!
We left my mom's house and headed to my in-laws in NJ for Thanksgiving and more adventures. One day we went to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. I can't say enough nice things about this place. We had an AWESOME time. And they even let military families like us in for FREE. They did not pay me to write about their awesomeness, we just had an amazing time and I definitely recommend it.
Thanksgiving in NJ was delicious as usual. Lots of family visiting and food eating. We took some of our family photos while we were there.
Coming back from NJ we took another pit stop at my mom's house since she is conveniently located about halfway between our house and my in-laws. We had a late Thanksgiving and early Hanukkah with my family there because we wouldn't see her again until after Hanukkah was over.
I spent a lot of time sewing at my mom's house to keep up with the holiday orders that were flooding in. I am so incredibly thankful to everyone who shopped at Margaux Makes this season. My first major shopping season as an Etsy shop owner was an amazing success thanks to all of you. It is so much appreciated by my family.
And when we FINALLY got back home we got our Christmas tree all set up and decorated. Dad and the kids celebrated by having a pile-up under the tree!
And last but not least, Darwin's 17 month photo. The rest of the series is right here.

I love the turkey pics! He's grown so much!
